We got it! Just before the holidays the majority of the core team of IamFluidics successfully presented our startup company and business plan towards the STW phase II. This funding allows us to set up the official company as a University of Twente spin off, boost our technological development, grow the team, expand our network and plant another seed in the Twente hub of microfluidics.

Many thanks to Micronit Microtechnologies for inviting us IamFluidics to the Microfluidic Consortium MF9 “hot seat” pitch. New collaboration opportunities and a rapid expansion of our network was achieved.

IamFluidics  took the podium for the startup pitch at the International MicroNano conference presenting our disruptive In-air microfluidics (IAMF) technology

In-air microfluidics, better and faster encapsulation:

Microparticles are an important component in food, pharmaceutics and cosmetics. Up to now, mass production is at the expense of the precision of the particles and thus of the quality. Within this project a new technique “in-air microfluidics” (IAMF) is applied for creating monodisperse microdroplets. In-air microfluidics technology integrates inkjet and microfluidics, by combining different liquid jets in air. This enables faster and cheaper production of high quality microparticles on an industrial scale. The project will allow us to upscale our current IAMF technology and make it ready for paralelization and so opening up the industrial production capabilities. Within the consortium IamFLuidics B.V. collaborates with Aquamarijn Microfiltration B.V. (Zutphen), Bether Encapsulates B.V. (Groningen) and the University of Twente (Enschede).

This project is supported by the European Union / European Fund for Regional Development (EFRO).

A great event with ample networking opportunities has finished! In the Match Making Event organized from MinacNed and we were able to find new collaboration contacts and catch up with the state of the art microfluidic technologies.
