Our mission

Microparticles are everywhere! For example, in food, textiles, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products. However, current microparticle production methods are inefficient and not sustainable (e.g., causing microplastics). It is IamFluidics’ mission to revolutionize microparticle production for a healthier planet by developing the next generation of sustainable, scalable, and superb microencapsulation technologies. To this end, we have invented a disruptive and sustainable technology to create high-quality microparticles.

Now, we are ready to start production and conquer the market with our sustainable, scalable, and superb microencapsulation solutions! To realize the next generations of production equipment that will server our customers, we are looking for an experienced process engineer.

Your goal as a Process Engineer:

As a Process Engineer at IamFluidics you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and improvement of high-tech production processes and machines. You work in the R&D department and work closely together with process specialists. It is part of your job to coordinate between the Product Development and Manufacturing departments.

You will guide the design, manufacturing, and testing of machines together with your colleagues, suppliers, and other partners. You will also identify new technologies that will further improve the manufacturing process and continue to develop the knowledge of the R&D team.

Being able to collaborate with various disciplines and working on a beautiful high-tech manufacturing process is what makes this role so exiting. Within your role, you will be able to grow based on your personal preferences and interests.

Your responsibilities

  • Realizing new machines together with suppliers, based on the R&D results and building on structured project management and risk assessment. This task includes coordination of the installation qualification (IQ), operational qualification (OQ) and performance qualification of new Equipment (PQ).
  • You are responsible for process validation of new products on the plant.
  • You are responsible for training the users of new processes, like operators and QC engineers. You do this by using standardized operation procedures (SOP’s) and working instructions (SWI’s).
  • You work together with the R&D team, the product development department, and specialists within manufacturing to manufacture new products with existing production facilities.
  • You collaborate with the maintenance engineer for preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
  • You ensure that the production process is safe and in line with quality standards.
  • You will use tools and your knowledge based on Lean Six Sigma methodology to coach your co-workers in applying this knowledge in their jobs.

About you

  • You are able to collaborate with suppliers and other partners to deliver high-tech machines for particle production, based on our process R&D.
  • You have experience as a technical project leader.
  • You are a great communicator and you are always looking for improvements, uniformity and standardization. You take initiatives to achieve positive results for IamFluidics.
  • You have a BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Technical Business Administration, or similar.
  • You have relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment and/or in R&D.
  • You are familiar with improvement methods within Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • You are able to understand technical drawings, and you are able to work with software programs for modeling 3D drawings and mechanical 3D drawings, such as SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of international GMP Guidelines is an advantage.
