Recap: Winner of the Academic Startup Competition 2020
As you may have read, IamFluidics is entitled to call itself Gold Award Winner of the Academic Startup Competition 2020. As one of ten winners of startups in sectors ranging from Logistics to Agri-food, we have gained recognition as a pioneering startup within the High Tech sector.
The Academic Startup Competition is an initiative of the Association of Dutch Universities (VSNU), Dutch Federation of University Medical Centers, (NFU), Dutch Academy for Technology and Innovation (AcTI) and Techleap.nl, and is supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. The purpose of the competition is to raise awareness of valorization and academic spin-offs.
After a pitch of the 20 finalists, a special jury of experts chose the ten winners. Their value proposition, innovative nature of their technology, the team, earning models and potential of their business formed the basis on which they formed their decision.
In addition to the title 'Best Academic Startup of 2020', the startups will be introduced to a network of entrepreneurs, investors and other companies, and will have access to a coaching program with dedicated mentors.
The technology in which our excellent team conducts their research has provided a significant progression in scalability and deployment of microparticle and microfluidics manufacturing.
In this video, our CEO, Michiel van Alst, takes you through the technology behind IamFluidics and the application areas in which they can deploy their sustainable and effective products.
